Privacy Policy
SolarSailor is a free browser game in which you pilot a solar sail craft through planetary ring formations. This policy describes what navigational data we collect when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Like deep space, we keep our data footprint sparse. We may receive:
- Standard HTTP headers your browser sends with any request — IP address, browser name and version, operating system, and referring URL.
- Your personal best ring count, logged only in your browser's local storage and never transmitted anywhere.
- Anonymous, aggregated voyage statistics that cannot identify any individual sailor.
2. How We Use Information
We use data only to keep the sails trimmed (maintain the game), fix navigation errors (bugs), and understand general voyage statistics. No advertising, no behavioral profiling, no data sales.
3. Local Storage
Your record voyage is held in local browser storage only. Clear browser data and it drifts into the void — we retain no server copy.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts are served by Google Fonts via a standard browser HTTP request. No other third-party services receive your data.
5. Children's Privacy
SolarSailor contains no violent content, no gambling, and no in-app purchases. The sail simply furls when it contacts a ring band. Suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
6. Data Retention
Server log files are kept for a limited operational period and then deleted. Locally stored data stays on your device until you clear your browser.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Because we collect minimal data, fulfilling such requests may have limited scope.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures to protect any data we handle. No method of internet transmission is fully secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We revise this policy by updating the date above. Continued sailing means you accept any updates.
